An Online Seminar Featuring a Guest Academic Was Held as Part of the Food and Beverage Service and Banquet Service Management Courses

An online seminar featuring Lecturer Özgür Yılmaz, an academic staff member at Balıkesir Vocational School, Balıkesir University, was held on December 16, 2025, as part of the Food and Beverage Service and Banquet Service Management courses taught by Lecturer Dr. Cansen Can in the Tourism and Hotel Management Program at Gönen Vocational School, Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University.

Organized at the invitation of Lecturer Dr. Cansen Can, the event featured Lecturer Özgür Yılmaz, who is also the author of the textbooks used in these courses. During the seminar, he shared his knowledge and experience with students regarding the importance of food and beverage services and banquet service in tourism establishments.

The seminar aimed to enable students to connect the theoretical knowledge acquired in their courses with academic and industry-related experiences, while enhancing their professional awareness of food and beverage services and banquet management.

The event provided students with an opportunity to engage with an academic from another university and examine the course content from different perspectives.
