Orientation Programs Held for Tourism and Hotel Management Students

The orientation programs organized for the students of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Gönen Vocational School, Tourism and Hotel Management Program, were held on September 25 and October 1, 2025, at the Tourism Practice Laboratory.

The orientation sessions were designed to facilitate students’ adaptation to university life, introduce them to academic processes, and strengthen their sense of belonging to the program. The program included comprehensive information on course registration procedures, academic advising, the academic calendar, internship practices, laboratory use, student clubs, social and cultural activities, and career opportunities.

As part of the event, students were also informed about the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) and the Quality Management System of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University. They were encouraged to take an active role in these processes as contributors to the university’s quality culture.

During the orientation, students toured the physical facilities of the vocational school, including laboratories, the library, cafeteria, canteen, and other student areas. They also had the opportunity to observe academic and administrative units on site. In addition, the basketball, tennis, and football fields, as well as the lake located within the campus area, were introduced to the students, providing them with information about the school’s social and sports facilities.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adem KORKMAZ, Director of Gönen Vocational School, who shared valuable advice with the students about university life and answered their questions. Students expressed their appreciation for the detailed and prompt responses they received.

The orientation programs of the Tourism and Hotel Management Program concluded as productive events where students had the chance to become familiar with the program culture, gain awareness of quality and accreditation processes, and make a strong start to their academic journey.
