Industry Meeting at Gönen Vocational School: An Inspiring Event for Students from Legacy Media
The Basic Photography course, offered within the Computer-Aided Design and Animation Program of the Computer Technologies Department at Gönen Vocational School, showcased strong collaboration with the industry. Lecturer Sait YEŞİLFİDAN, the course instructor, met with students at an event featuring Legacy Media, a company operating in the media, advertising, and production sectors.
The event, held on April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM in classroom BL3, featured Hakan Kalın, an industry representative from Legacy Media, who shared valuable information and experience regarding photography and visual production processes. The presentation detailed the practical applications of theoretical knowledge with illustrative examples, giving students the opportunity to hear about industry dynamics directly from an expert.
The event attracted significant student interest, and the Q&A session was highly productive. Students had the chance to receive direct answers to their questions on topics such as equipment usage, professional shooting techniques, entry into the industry, and career planning.
The importance Legacy Media officials placed on education was one of the most noteworthy aspects of the event. Company representatives emphasized that success is not measured solely by financial gain; rather, it is far more valuable to engage students who will become future professionals and contribute to their development. This approach had a significant impact on the students in terms of both motivation and professional awareness.
This event, which stands out as a successful example of industry-university collaboration, helped students reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical application while also helping them define their career goals more clearly. Gönen Vocational School continues to connect its students with the industry through such events and prepare them better for the future.
On behalf of our school and students, we would like to thank the officials and employees of Legacy Media for their contributions and interest.
