INFORMATION REGARDING THE APPLICATION DATE FOR THE COMPULSORY FOREIGN LANGUAGE (ENGLISH) COURSE 5I PROFICIENCY (EXEMPTION) EXAM, IMPLEMENTED UNDER LAW NO. 2547, FOR THE 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR, SEPTEMBER 24, 2026.

This announcement is for students who wish to be exempted from the Foreign Language I and Foreign Language II courses included in the curriculum of all departments and programs. ONLY STUDENTS ADMITTED TO UNIVERSITY IN 2026-2027 CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS EXAM.

The 2026-2027 Academic Year Compulsory Foreign Language (English) 5I Course Proficiency Exam will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

*Students who score 60 or higher on the exam are exempt from the Compulsory Foreign Language Courses (5i) and will not take the relevant course.

Note: Students in the English Translation and Interpreting, Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering (30% English), and Economics (English) departments do not take this exam.
