Students of the Business Administration Program at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Gönen Vocational School came together on March 3 for an iftar program organized within the scope of the Volunteering Studies course. The event was conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Şahin and provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their social connections by sharing the iftar meal together.

The program offered a valuable social interaction environment that complemented the practical dimension of the course. It contributed to reinforcing feelings of solidarity, unity, and mutual support among students. The event also demonstrated that volunteerism extends beyond field-based activities and plays an important role in fostering a strong sense of community among participants.

Throughout the evening, students had the opportunity to exchange experiences related to the volunteer projects carried out within the course and to discuss ideas for future activities. In this regard, the gathering provided a holistic learning environment that supported both social and academic engagement.

The iftar program is considered to have made a meaningful contribution to strengthening students’ awareness of volunteerism, enhancing group cohesion, and promoting effective communication among participants. The event further highlighted the importance of community building as an integral component of experiential learning and civic engagement.
