Horizontal Transfer Opportunities

Students may transfer to associate degree programs that admit students through the relevant national placement score system, subject to current regulations and institutional requirements.

Vertical Transfer Opportunities (DGS)

Graduates of the Business Management Program may continue their education at the bachelor's level through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS). Based on DGS results administered by ÖSYM, graduates may transfer directly to the third year (fifth semester) of eligible undergraduate programs offered through formal or distance education.

This pathway enables students to complement their two-year associate degree with a four-year bachelor's degree, thereby expanding both their academic qualifications and career prospects.

About the Program

The Department of Management and Organization at Gönen Vocational School established the Business Management Program in the 2007–2008 academic year. The program aims to educate qualified professionals equipped with theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and innovative problem-solving capabilities required to manage organizations effectively in today's competitive business environment.

The curriculum follows a 3+1 education model. Students complete competency-based, foundational, and professional courses during the first three semesters and undertake workplace training through an industry internship during the final semester. This structure enables students to apply classroom knowledge in real business settings and gain valuable professional experience before graduation.

 

Program Objectives

The program aims to:

  • Provide fundamental knowledge of business concepts, processes, and organizational operations.
  • Develop students' abilities to identify and solve business-related problems.
