Our University has been included in the World University Rankings 2027, announced by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world’s leading higher education ranking organizations, for the first time, ranking in the 1601–1800 band.
In previous years, our University had been classified as a “Reporter” by THE as part of its data submission process. This year, for the first time, our University has been officially included in the World University Rankings, taking its place among universities worldwide.
With the 2027 results, our University became one of the 19 universities from Türkiye to enter the rankings for the first time this year.
The THE World University Rankings 2027 evaluated 2,297 higher education institutions from 118 countries and regions, including 124 universities from Türkiye. THE’s 2027 rankings assess university performance based on key indicators such as teaching, research environment, research quality, industry collaboration, and international outlook.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. İsmail Boz, stated that our University’s inclusion in the THE World University Rankings for the first time represents an important development:
“We are pleased that our University has been included for the first time in the THE World University Rankings, one of the major international higher education rankings. This result is an important indicator of our University’s ongoing efforts to continuously enhance its academic and institutional capacity. We will continue our work with determination in many areas, ranging from education and research and development to internationalization and university-industry collaboration. We aim to further strengthen our University’s international visibility and academic quality in the coming period.”
We would like to thank all our academic and administrative staff who have contributed to enhancing our University’s academic visibility at both national and international levels, and we hope that this achievement will contribute to our University’s future endeavors.
