Intercampus Interactıon: Leadershıp And Creatıvıty
The "Intercampus Interaction: Leadership and Creativity" event will be organized by the Computer Technologies Department of Gönen Vocational School, with the participation of students from the Computer-Aided Design and Animation Program of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences Kaynarca Seyfettin Selim Vocational School. The event aims to bring together students from different campuses to share academic and creative production processes and to strengthen intellectual and artistic interaction.
The event will begin with a seminar titled "Become the Leader of Your Own Life" by Dr. Ali Gündüz, Head of the Computer Technologies Department at SUBÜ Kaynarca SSMYO, aiming to help students realize and realize their potential.
Later in the day, artist Eda Emirdağ will conduct a "Necessity of Art – Collage Workshop" inspired by the book "The Necessity of Art", following a presentation titled "Local Dialogues". In this workshop, collage works will be produced on themes such as art and capitalism, censorship, representation, and reality, using exhibition catalogs compiled from the contemporary art scene in Turkey in recent years. Participants will deconstruct and reassemble existing images, thus engaging in a process of creating a critical and collaborative visual narrative.
‘Local Dialogues’
Montag Residency, operating in Gönen district of Balıkesir, is an independent art and research platform that brings together local cultural heritage and craft practices with contemporary art production. Aiming to develop mutual learning and production processes among artists, researchers, academics, and local communities, the organization conducts studies on cultural memory, community-oriented art, local knowledge, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Callforart / Callforartivism, initiated in 2015 by Eda Emirdağ, one of the co-founders of Montag Residency, is an independent communication network aiming to strengthen solidarity in the field of art. The platform; By sharing announcements about open calls, artist residencies, scholarships, training programs, job opportunities, and international art events free of charge, it creates an accessible information resource, especially for young artists and independent cultural producers. As part of its 2026 program, Montag Residency will meet with students from Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Gönen Vocational School to share experiences on art, research, and cultural production. In the presentation and workshop, co-founder Eda Emirdağ will share her experiences in the field of independent art, international collaborations, the working model of Montag Residency, and possible collaborative production processes that can be developed with the students. Eda Emirdağ is an independent artist and cultural worker who produces work in the fields of photography, video, collage, and participatory art. Her work focuses on cultural memory, gender, body politics, local knowledge, and community-based forms of production. The artist, who has participated in various exhibitions, research, residency, and collaboration projects in Turkey and internationally, mostly develops her practice around the axis of collective learning, dialogue, and participation. Emirdağ, who has been running training courses, workshops, and mentoring programs in photography and video for many years, has carried out creative production processes with participants from different age and experience groups. The academy continues to explore the transformative and unifying potential of art through its work focused on building connections between independent art scenes and local communities.
