About Gönen Vocational School
About Our Vocational School
Our Vocational School was established in accordance with the decision taken at the meeting of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) on February 14, 1994, and commenced its academic activities in the 1994-1995 Academic Year with two programs.
In subsequent years, pursuant to Article 1 of the "Law on Amendments to the Law on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions and Certain Laws and Decree-Laws" (Law No. 6640), published in the Official Gazette dated April 23, 2015, and numbered 29335, a new university named Bandırma Onyedi Eylül Üniversitesi was established in the Bandırma district of Balıkesir province. Consequently, the affiliation of Gönen Vocational School was transferred from Balıkesir University to Bandırma Onyedi Eylül Üniversitesi.

Our faculty members, whose competence in their professions is well-proven, make every effort to create internship opportunities to prepare you practically for your career by directing you to relevant sectors.
Exchange Programs
To allow our students to enhance their knowledge and skills in an international environment and to get to know domestic/international educational institutions, our school participates in student exchange systems such as the Erasmus+ and Mevlana Programs (International Student Exchange) and the Farabi Program (Domestic Student Exchange). Within the scope of these exchange programs, our students have the opportunity to study at various higher education institutions in Europe and across Turkey.
