Within the scope of the “Forest Is Mine” campaign organized simultaneously across the country by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, an important event was carried out on Monday, May 18, with the participation of students, academic staff, administrative managers, and personnel of Gönen Vocational School.

The activity aimed to raise awareness about forest fires, which have been increasing due to climate change and global warming, and to reduce fire risks. In this context, cleaning work was conducted in the brushwood area located between the school and the student dormitory.

Dry grass, bushes, and various waste materials in the area were cleared by participants, thereby taking preventive measures against potential fire hazards. Through this work, both environmental cleanliness was improved and awareness regarding forest fire prevention was promoted in society.

Throughout the event, students and staff worked together, demonstrating a strong sense of solidarity and environmental responsibility.

The administration of Gönen Vocational School emphasized that protecting forests is a shared responsibility and stated that social responsibility activities aimed at increasing environmental and nature awareness will continue.
