The first orientation program for newly enrolled students at Gönen Vocational School for the 2026-2027 academic year was held.
The program, hosted at the Gönen Vocational School’s Ömer Seyfettin Conference Hall, took place in two separate sessions on Monday, September 21, 2026—the start of the academic year. The first session, held at 13:00, was designed for students of the Computer Technologies Department, while the second session, held at 15:15, catered to students from the Electricity and Energy; Accounting and Taxation; Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering Services; Design; and Management and Organization departments.
During the orientation program, students were briefed on various aspects of university and vocational school life. Topics covered included the ÜBYS Student Information System, the Central Campus and its facilities, the Smoke-Free Campus initiative, the BANU Mobile Application, course selection, and graduation requirements.
The program also provided information regarding Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University’s 5-year YÖKAK accreditation. As part of quality assurance efforts, students' views and suggestions were solicited, and the importance of student feedback in improving educational processes was emphasized.
Following the presentations, questions from students regarding attendance, website announcements, and other administrative processes were answered. The program, which aimed to help students adjust to university and vocational school life, concluded with the sharing of well-wishes.
